PRACTICE
I treat children, teens and adults in my practice. My approach is very focused on the needs of the individual and is informed by the psychology of C.G. Jung. Over the years I have taken multiple classes at the Jung Institute of LA, including two year-long courses in Jungian concepts and sandplay therapy, as well as several courses on dream analysis. Trying to summarize Jung's thinking on the process of individuation and the human psyche in a few sentences would not do him justice. I will just briefly say that what has drawn me to his thinking is that it is a non-judgmental, humanistic approach to supporting an individual's growth and development through out their lifespan. It recognizes universal experiences common to the human condition and allows room for the importance of spiritual growth. It blends well with my interest in the way developmental tasks and challenges at each stage of a person's life, as well as their interaction with their social environment, shape their experience in the world. I strive to help people identify the obstacles in their lives and the areas where they feel stuck, encouraging the development of insight to help them move forward.
